Best Beaches in Indonesia | East Nusa Tenggara

The best beaches in Indonesia are not only in the ballyhooed island of Bali. In fact, among the most sparkling ones are those that are way south of it, in East Nusa Tenggara.

The best beach bumming spots here are the islands that dot the Komodo National Park. Yes, these pretty isles are actually the lairs of the komodo dragons—humungous, fierce & ugly.

But donโ€™t panic because you wonโ€™t be swimming among them as they only thrive in Loh Liang, Rinca, Gili Motang, Gili Dasami & Flores islands.

Did you know that the New 7 Wonders of the World include some of the best beaches in Indonesia?

No doubt, this spot is the most scenic beach in the entire Komodo islands. But to appreciate its magnificence, you have to trek all the way up to the summit.

  • I think this post has given Indonesia justice, you have described it beautifully Potpot and the photos are equally amazing. I am most most interested to visit Padar Island. I don’t like trekking but the view from the top is something that I need to see. I have never seen anything like it, not even in our own country.

The fact that it is not yet too crowded is what makes it all the more appealing to me. I would always prefer it than the overly commercialized tourist spots.

  • I love Vitamin Sea as much as you love it Pot Pot. =)
