I had a pleasant experience being driven around in Siem Reap by Vinith Vuth. He is stationed at the airport but you may hire his services to drive you around Siem Reap. Vin, as his clients know him, is an awesome guy who treats his clients like family. With this, you are assured of your comfort & safety. Most importantly, this man is honest and not opportunistic in looting tourist money. Vin is very knowledgeable on Cambodiaโs history and its attractions. He converses well in English and very sociable person.
Sure, tuktuks abound in Siem Reap but getting around in a car makes you weave around the maze of temples very quick, it brings you to attractions in farther places like Beng Malea & Kulen Mountain. Contract price per day starts at $30 and it varies depending on your agreed itinerary. He drives a clean Toyota sedan but you can opt for a crossover or SUV at a different rate. He can run your errands that require โspecial local accommodationsโ, look for hotels and negotiate matters in difficult Khmer.
I have been to Siem Reap a couple of times and he drives me around whenever I am in town. In some days that I do not hire his services, he drops by for a cup of quick tea or to just check if I am OK. I have met his family and in one occasion they even gave me a send-off dinner. I have recommended Vin to many of my friends and theyโre all so happy with his services.
I give this guy 5-star!
Summary: He is not your ordinary driver in Siem Reap!

We found Vin through the blog and decided to engage him after reviewing the comments from other travelers. We contacted Vin via email just 3 days before our trip and we thought that he might not reply us in time for our trip. However he was very prompt and replied the next day. Therefore the arrangement was decided swiftly.
During our time in Siem Reap, Vin’s tour service (2 days) was remarkable. Vin would always arrive early, flexible with our itinerary request and also offered his recommendation when the weather didn’t favor us during sunset. Vin is also very engaging, sharing with us about the history of the temple complex and Siem Reap. As we missed the sunset due to weather, Vin went out of his way and took us on a mini city and temple tour. He even bought us palm fruits ( something you can’t find in the city), it was delicious! Vin does a thorough cleanup of vehicle every day, ensuring us a clean and comfy day.
He is not those typical guide who will bring tourist to souvenir shops thus making the whole trip more comfortable and enjoyable. His friendliness sets him apart from the usual guide and more like a friend in Siem Reap. We would definitely recommend Vin as your friend to Angkor Wat Complex!
Hi Ivan. I am very happy to know that you like his service. Commendations like yours make me feel happy too because after all I am not wrong in featuring him in my blog. This guy is truly amazing. He even rescued from friend who was trapped in Siem Reap with very little funds left. May his kind populate.
I am so thankful to you Potpot for recommending Vin. He is, without a question, the best tour guy I’ve ever met. His kindness is unbelievable, I will never forget this guy, and I will also recommend him to my friends who are planning to go to Siem Reap.
I am glad you had a wonderful time with Vin in SR. Truly, this guy is amazing. ๐
