I had a pleasant experience being driven around in Siem Reap by Vinith Vuth. He is stationed at the airport but you may hire his services to drive you around Siem Reap. Vin, as his clients know him, is an awesome guy who treats his clients like family. With this, you are assured of your comfort & safety. Most importantly, this man is honest and not opportunistic in looting tourist money. Vin is very knowledgeable on Cambodiaโs history and its attractions. He converses well in English and very sociable person.
Sure, tuktuks abound in Siem Reap but getting around in a car makes you weave around the maze of temples very quick, it brings you to attractions in farther places like Beng Malea & Kulen Mountain. Contract price per day starts at $30 and it varies depending on your agreed itinerary. He drives a clean Toyota sedan but you can opt for a crossover or SUV at a different rate. He can run your errands that require โspecial local accommodationsโ, look for hotels and negotiate matters in difficult Khmer.
I have been to Siem Reap a couple of times and he drives me around whenever I am in town. In some days that I do not hire his services, he drops by for a cup of quick tea or to just check if I am OK. I have met his family and in one occasion they even gave me a send-off dinner. I have recommended Vin to many of my friends and theyโre all so happy with his services.
I give this guy 5-star!
Summary: He is not your ordinary driver in Siem Reap!

My entire family met Vinith in different occasions. We all went in separate times for different reasons but one thing remained constant: Vinith and our pleasure of spending time with such a genuine and interesting man.
Without a doubt, our separate trips (3) to Siem Reap wouldn’t have been as amazing if it weren’t for Vinith introducing us to the culture, architecture, legends, food and Cambodian hospitality.
Vinith and I had many conversations not only about the rich history of Siem Reap but also about his life and current world news and beliefs. I have only met him once, but it felt like I found a good confidant to share hopes, dreams and laughs! He is one incredibly intelligent and well mannered family man. It is hard not to like him.
Without his assistance, my birthday trip would have been quite a mess!
I miss him and his laughter already!
I am looking forward to go back to Cambodia and spend another good weekend with the wonderful people there and vinith’s exceptional hospitality and service!
